  • Kyle Busch gravement blessé hier en Xfinity series à Daytona

     NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Kyle Busch will miss Sunday's season-opening Daytona 500 after suffering a leg injury during a hard crash Saturday at Daytona International Speedway.
     
    Busch was being treated for a compound fracture of the right lower leg and a mid-foot fracture, and would not compete in the season's biggest event. Busch underwent surgery on his right leg on Saturday night, according to Joe Gibbs Racing.

    Busch's injuries will "sideline him for an undetermined period of time," according to the team. Matt Crafton will serve as the interim driver for Busch's No. 18 Toyota for the Daytona 500. An interim driver has not been determined for any races beyond the Daytona 500 at this time.

    As trucks fanned out four-wide behind him, Tyler Reddick took the first checkered flag of his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series career in Friday night’s NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona International Speedway.
    Behind the race winner, Erik Jones charged to the outside to grab the runner-up spot, followed by Scott Lagasse Jr. and Austin Theriault, Reddick’s Brad Keselowski Racing teammate.

    ·         Jeff Gordon has appeared in the most consecutive Sprint Unlimited races, competing in 21 consecutive events from 1994-2014.

    ·         There have been nine multiple winners in the Sprint Unlimited:

    o    Dale Earnhardt won six events, most all-time (1980, 1986, 1988, 1991, 1993, 1995).

    o    Dale Jarrett won in 1996, 2000 and 2004.

    o   Kevin Harvick won in 2009, 2010 and 2013.

    o    Tony Stewart won in 2001, 2002 and 2007.
