Richmond International Raceway:

·         La première course de NASCAR Sprint Cup fut courue le 19 avril 1953, gagné par Lee Petty.

·         La course du printemps 1964 fut courue le mardi soir sous lumières artificielles temporaires.

·         Son nom prit  l'appelation Virginia State Fairgrounds en 1967.

·         De dirt-track, la piste passera à l'asphalte dès 1968.

·         Le nom rechangera en Richmond Fairgrounds Raceway en 1969.

·         Redéfinition de la longueur de piste à 0.542-mile pour 1970.

·         Cette piste fut rebâtie en un ovale en D de 3/4 de miles, suite à la course du 21/02/1988.

·         Première course sous lumières artificielles permanentes: Le 7/sept/1991.

·         Première saison avec les deux courses en nocturne: 1999.
